Barbara Stok

Barbara Stok (1970) is een Nederlandse stripmaker en drummer. Ze werd bekend met haar autobiografische ‘Barbaraal’-strips. In 2012 brak ze internationaal door met Vincent, een stripbiografie van Vincent van Gogh, die een internationale bestseller werd en in achttien talen vertaald is. Haar werk is bekroond met onder meer de Stripschapprijs, de belangrijkste Nederlandse oeuvreprijs voor stripmakers. Vincent en de zonnebloemen is haar eerste kinderboek.

Barbara Stok (1970) is a Dutch comics artist and drummer. She gained an audience with her autobiographical comics. In 2012, she published Vincent, the graphic biography of Vincent van Gogh, which became an international bestseller and was published in 18 languages. In 2009 she was awarded the Stripschapprijs, the major Dutch prize for comics. Vincent and the Sunflowers is her first children’s book.
